Dinesha Mendis



Dinesha Mendis is currently an analyst for Russell Investments and has lived in London since 1999. Born and raised in Germany to Sri Lankan Buddhist Sinhalese parents, she remains ideologically committed to working for a charity that rises above ethnic divisions and political conflict to help children in Sri Lanka.

Her affinity for Sri Lanka stems not only from her intimate family ties to the island but more from a belief in its cultural beauty and its fascinating history.

Dinesha joined HelpLanka as a trustee in 2007 to assist with events management, fundraising and promotional work. She has extensive analytical, communication and project management skills from her professional experience in the financial industry where she has worked for a range of investment banks and asset management firms. She holds a BA (Hons) in Political Science from Queen Mary, University of London and enjoys playing the piano and cycling.
