An exclusive Art, Photographic and craft exhibition to remember the Tsunami in Sri Lanka

Helplanka a U K registered charity based in Sutton Surrey will be holding a special preview of paintings , drawings and crafts made by Sri Lankan children affected by the Tsunami. The exhibition will also feature artwork by Sutton School children who are helping their counterparts in Sri Lanka rebuild their lives.

The Mayor of Sutton Councillor Lesley O’Donnell and local MPs Tom Brake and Paul Burstow will open the preview with attendances from Headteachers and pupils form local Sutton schools.

The event will take place at The Europa Gallery Suton Library Sutton Surrey on Monday 12 December 2005 at 1730 and will be part of a 2 week long event in Sutton to mark the 1st year anniversary of the Asian Tsunami as well as part of a twin town project by Sutton and Moratuwa in Sri Lanka initiated by Helplanka.

Sri Lankan refreshments and entertainment and a presentation about Helplanka and Sutton’s twin town project will be features of the event.
