After The Tsunami
devastated the coastline of Sri Lanka in December 2004
a group of 7 people based in the UK with Sri Lankan
links decided to set up a charity to keep the rebuilding
of Sri Lanka at the top of the agenda.
Help Lanka is not a disaster relief charity- we are
a structured, long term autonomous charity managed by
a dedicated group of people with links back in Sri Lanka
on the ground. Helplanka is dedicated in providing long
term assistance to children in Sri Lanka across the
island. We have already provided food, clothing, medicine,
counselling and much needed educational assistance and
training. |

Nearly
5000 children have been helped by Helplanka in
the last year. Working with partners and other
established organizations we have been able to
provide professional , structured assistance and
have been able to ensure that the most needy and
deserving children are reached and practically
helped.
In order for Helplanka to maintain its vital work
to help children deprived of education, and shelter
in Sri Lanka, we need continued financial assistance
and funding and rely on your support and generosity.
